About me
Hi my name is Samuel! I have been developing software, mainly on the .Net platform, for the past five years. I am currently a Software Developer for FARO Technologies, Inc. (NASDAC:FARO) working at the Software Engineering – User Experience team based in Portugal, since late 2007. At this time I’m developing on .Net Framework 3.5 using C# and WPF.
In here you will find some arbitrary postings, mostly about software development and the technologies I am currently working with. Hopefully I will be able to express myself in a clear and suitable way.
I am by no way a mentor or a Guru Software developer! I try hard to move along with the standards and like to keep myself up to date. I am just blogging on a being able to “Google myself” basis and hopping to be able to establish some nice relations with you esteemed reader.

@KshitijYou’re welcome!
I appreciate your help and time. Thanks, keep posting!!!
Hi Pushpa! I am glad my posts have been useful to you.
I am not aware that the DataGrid currently supports multiple or embedded column headers. You can try this by reestyling the DataGrid but I believe this will force you to have hardcoded headers and you will have problems with the resizing of the columns.
A more plausible solution would be to create a specific type of column that has a sub columns collection in it. Then some changes would have to be made to DataGridColumnHeadersPresenter in order to be able to render the sub columns headers underneath the main one column header. Then you would have to adjust the DataGridRowsPresenter to account for the sub columns.
Hope this helps!
Hi Samuel,
Very useful post thanks for those efforts. Would like to have some more tips on the multiple column header or embedded column headers.
Please put some light on this.
Hi Wilfredo! I am glad you enjoyed the articles. I have nothing specifically for that purpose. This is something that can easily be done with the WPF Datagrid. I would specify a model for the rows and style the grid accordingly.
Hi Samuel,
thanks for your posts. I’m looking for digiting sells directly in a WPF datagrid, do you have something like this?
Thank you for your answer.
Hi Venu! Replied to you on your other comment!
